The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation (AHVMF) is a nonprofit organization that funds investigations to advance animal health through integrative holistic veterinary medicine. The Foundation is a global leader in funding scientific research and education in complementary veterinary treatments for cats, dogs, horses, and livestock. Since 2011 the Foundation has invested more than $750,000 in studies conducted at 11 veterinary schools that have led to improved animal health through the use of holistic veterinary treatments.

The Foundation was established to receive and administer funds for research and education in all aspects of integrative medicine, especially as it pertains to that part which is called variously, holistic, alternative, or complementary veterinary medicine, or CAVM. The Foundation concentrates on 3 aspects: scholarships for veterinary students who are interested in this branch of veterinary medicine, research in this aspect of veterinary medicine, and support for the use of and education in this branch in veterinary schools.
