Ariel Herndobler

Board Member at Large

From the time she was a little girl, Dr. Arielle Herndobler wanted to be a veterinarian. She
attended high school at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences which is the only
working farm in the city of Chicago. She then went on to complete both her undergraduate and
veterinary degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana. Post graduation she continued her
education and obtained certifications in acupuncture (International Veterinary Acupuncture
Society), veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (Healing Oasis) and physical rehabilitation
(University of Tennessee) and she is one of only a handful of veterinarians in the state of Illinois
to hold this combination of additional certifications.

Dr. Herndobler joined the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center in 2016. Prior to this she practiced
at a large private practice in the suburbs, was a spay/neuter surgeon at a non-profit and
provided relief services for a corporate veterinary practice. Dr. Herndobler strives to integrate
both holistic and western medicine modalities to provide a highly individualized approach for
each pet she treats.

Dr. Herndobler lives in Chicago with her two dogs, Louie and Fendi. In her spare time she
enjoys being outdoors and active. She is an avid runner and has completed 7 half marathons, 2
triathlons and countless shorter distance races. Travel is her second passion and she has
traveled around the world. In 2014 she had the unique opportunity to spend 6 weeks in Belize
caring for manatees and primates at a rehabilitation facility.
