Lauana Paradine

Executive Director

Lauana Paradine has been the Executive Director of the AHVMF since January 20, 2020. She was formerly the Operations Director for the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) where she served from 2013 through the end of 2019.

Lauana holds degrees in Psychology and Graphic Design Media. She has a strong administrative and technological background and has been professionally involved in the veterinary world for over ten years.

Being a life-long animal lover with a long-time interest in holistic health, Lauana is grateful to continue to work with the underserved and caring community that promotes the use of these modalities in animals.

Lauana grew up in a tiny town, on a dirt road, in Minnesota with a menagerie of cats, cows, horses, chickens and pigs. It was not an uncommon sight for her father to come home with a new furry or feathered family member to nurse to health. Unable to handle another Minnesota winter, she moved East some time ago and now resides in West Virginia where she and her husband spend their “free time” fixing up their fixer-upper. Lauana “inherited” several cats left behind by the property's previous owner. She spends a significant amount of time socializing these cats and increasing their trust of humans.

Other interests include music, painting, and her two very spoiled house cats, Dinsdale and Toivo.
